Pseudonymization Settings
Pseudonymization is the process of removing personal identifiers with placeholder values. It is used to protect personal privacy and enhance data security by preventing the direct identification of individuals.
When User Data Pseudonymization is enabled, the User Information will be replaced within the Poly Lens system. For example:
- user name 'John Doe' would appear as 'user_6cea57c2' within our system
- email address such as 'johndoe@example.com' would appear as '30f69670@example.com'
The Poly Lens User Information is displayed on following sections:
- Manage > Device Users
- ACCOUNT menu > Account Settings > Account Members
- ACCOUNT menu > Account Settings > Audit Log
- Insights > Reports > Call Details
To Enable/Disable Pseudonymization Settings on an Account
- Go to the ACCOUNT menu > Manage All Accounts.
- Select Account Settings.
- Select General Settings from the side tabs.
- In the User Data Pseudonymization field, enable with the slider.
- Select Apply.
- All User Information will be replaced with pseudonymized values.
Note: The search function is not available when the User Data Pseudonymization setting is on.
