Device Provisioning on an Account
Device Provisioning allows you to onboard and provision your voice and video devices.
Once you enter the provisioning credentials, Poly Lens automatically generates a unique provisioning service address for your Poly Lens account. You may then use your Poly Lens account provisioning credentials in conjunction with a DHCP server, or by manually entering your credentials into the provisioning server settings within individual Poly devices.
Note: By default, Device Provisioning is enabled when you create an account. The provisioning credential information is retained, and you are able to disable, enable and edit the server credentials at any time.
When a device utilizes Poly Lens provisioning credentials:
- The device will be added to your Poly Lens Account Inventory. An icon will display in the Inventory to indicate provisioning state, see the State field description here for more information.
- The device software version will be upgraded (as needed) to a Poly Lens-capable version.
- Device configuration will be modified to enable Poly Lens management and insights.
- Device will leverage policies for settings management, see Policy Overview for more information.
